Funding Fair with Màiri McAllan MSP, Lesmahagow – Jan 12, 2026

Dr. Nivedita Natarajan, Màiri McAllan MSP and Mr Prathap Kumar Kannan (from left to right) discussing the importance of mental wellbeing, public health, access to affordable preservative free and chemical free food, protection of nature, environmental sustainability, circular economy, poverty reduction and the role of community initiatives in supporting healthier and more resilient communities.

On 12th January 2026, GOKRSNA was delighted to participate in the Funders Fair hosted by Màiri McAllan MSP at The Fountain Hall in Lesmahagow. The event brought together community groups, organisations and funding bodies from across the Clydesdale area, creating an excellent opportunity to connect, share ideas and explore support for community initiatives. During the event we had a very positive discussion with Màiri McAllan MSP about the importance of health and wellbeing, access to nutritious food and sustainable practices. We shared how GOKRSNA provides preservative free and chemical free food while promoting environmentally responsible approaches such as plant based packaging, reducing food waste and using electric vehicle delivery to help lower CO₂ emissions. These initiatives support healthier communities and can help reduce long term pressure on the NHS through prevention and improved public wellbeing.

GOKRSNA’s work was warmly received and strongly encouraged by Màiri McAllan MSP, and we are grateful to her, Lesmahagow Development Trust and everyone involved for creating such a supportive and constructive event that helps strengthen community development across the region.
